48 For Floyd by Venice Run Club

This May, Harvest Home will be involved in the 7th annual 48 For Floyd running challenge in partnership with Venice Run Club and their 501(c)3, 48 for Change. The 48 For Floyd running challenge started in 2020 in the aftermath of George Floyd's death and has since turned into an annual event that uses running to directly help marginalized and communities. Venice Run Club is honored to team up with Harvest Home in order to raise funds to support their operations. From May 15-17, participants are challenged to run 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours (totaling 48 miles) while raising funds for Harvest Home.

HOW HARVEST HOME PARTNERS WITH MOTHERS

Harvest Home is a residential program serving unhoused pregnant women and their babies. We provide safe housing, structure, and personalized support so each woman can move from crisis to long-term stability.

Our program is designed in three stages:

Step One: Venice Home (30–60 Days)

Pregnant women begin in our Venice Home, where they receive immediate safety and stability. During this time, they participate in case management, therapy, and programming to assess urgent needs and create a plan for independence.

Step Two: Pico Home (Up to 9 Months After Birth)

Women transition to our Pico Home, where pregnant women and new moms continue in a longer-term program focused on building lasting independence. Through weekly case management, therapy, and educational classes, each woman works toward stable housing, employment, and confident motherhood.

Alumnae Program (Ongoing Support)

Support doesn’t end at graduation. Through home visits, community events, and essential resources like monthly diaper distribution, our Alumnae Program ensures moms continue to thrive long after leaving our residences.
